My Blog is, like my life, slowly unfolding. It scares me a little but nevertheless here I am. This blog is about my journey before, during and after cancer as well as living with CIPN (Chemo-Induced Peripheral Neuropathy).  I will be writing about it through simple stories.

As a new step in my recovery, I decided to become a volunteer and I picked Thailand. So, I am currently a volunteer EFL teacher at Wat Phrathat Doi Saket, a Buddhist Monastery in Doi Saket District,  just 30 minutes from Chiang Mai City.

Volunteering in Thailand, my latests posts.

Hope you enjoy reading my stories as much as I will enjoy reading your comments.

Thank you very much for stopping by.

I believe Life is an Assortment of Stories.

Each human has a story.

Mine is just one of them!

  1. Pilamaya, your words brought warmth to my heart, just like the song you sang the first time I met you in Little Rock.
I am also honored to know you. I will not be in Cabo for the retreat 😦 I am sure it will be amazing.
A very good friend of mine once told me: “It’s not the flag moving. It’s not the wind moving. It’s your MIND moving.” Lets have faith that the WIND will blow us together again soon.
    Loving and warm hugs

  2. Marcia,
You are such an Angel, Inspiration, and Teacher in the Highest form. I am Honored to know you, and hope our paths come together again soon! You are truly Blessed, as only those that have transcended the Greatest of Challenges can be. Yes, each Human IS a conglomerate of Stories, of which we have to face in REALization of how they serve or not. Sometimes… the Story becomes one that is less about how it serves our Self, but Serves All. Marcia, although this is Your story, Your Story in and of itself, Serves us All! With what words can one express fully Gratitude. Thank You, Gracias, Pilamaya… for Being and Living Fully!
    With all my Heart,
    Wolf Martinez
